Essay Contest

Say It Out Loud! C.R.I.M.E. Teens

Here’s a chance to be a published author and win a gift card for $125, $75, or $50!

C.R.I.M.E. Teens is a youth led violence prevention group, which stands for
Compassion, Respect, Inspiration, Motivation, and Empathy. We go around to different
schools in Chicago and present information to help children, teens, and adults learn about
how to prevent violence and find constructive solutions to community problems people
tell us bother them.

This year, we are working with a project called Say It Out Loud!, a campaign in Illinois
that promotes learning about mental health, offers help and support, and helps people
build strong relationships in everyday life.
The C.R.I.M.E. Teens are writing a book by teens for teens about how to be mentally
healthy and we want to include YOU!

The C.R.I.M.E. Teens Say It Out Loud Essay Contest gives you the chance to do just
that. If you are a teen who has struggled with an experience that has caused stress in your
life, or if you have found strengths in yourself to overcome obstacles, be a part of our
project and SAY IT OUT LOUD!
