Graphic Design for Teens

Graphic Design: The Look of Sound

Date: Sat. July 09, 2011

Time: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Location:
Harold Washington Library Center
YOUmedia
400 S. State Street
60605

About this event:
In this music centered summer program, students will critically study and analyze record and album covers spanning five decades. Using digital catalogues and the libraries record collections we will review album art and reflect on the changes in the 1950’s and 60’s to digital album art today. Students will also view and create their own digital collection of promotional materials from concerts, tours, etc. Students will have an opportunity to digitally “remix” album covers based on their interpretation of the music.
